Spreading The Word
We just left off at posting your first piece of content to your website. Now anytime you post something new to the internet, whether it be an article to your blog, another website, or a video, you always want to start by social bookmarking it. The reason you do this is because it not only alerts search engines and other content syndication sites about your piece of content, but it will also help you improve your search engine rankings as well as help you pull in some website visitors.
I call this "Stage 1" link building because this is what you want to do first. This is the first batch of link building that you always do to a new piece of content. I've compiled a list of dozens of different social bookmarking sites that you can post to for free, however it takes a lot of time. If you manually post these submissions, it's just going to suck away all of your time. And as a deadbeat, that's something we always try to avoid. Anything that is labor or time intensive we have to cut out of the equation.
Introducing fiverr
Luckily, there is a website service that can do all of this for you, and probably do a better job than you could do on your own. The site is called fiverr, and this is the deadbeat's secret weapon. Click here to access the signup page. If you don't already have a fiverr account, create one now.
Once you create and login to your free fiverr account, you are going to use the search bar. Type in "social bookmarking" and click the magnifying glass to search. You will be presented with a list of all of the people who offer social bookmarking services. You can either look under either the "Recommended" or the "High Rating" tab. You want to look for any gig that offers 100 to about 300 links. You don't want to use 2,000 links at once because it's a little bit much. It's not good for a new piece of content.
You should always scroll down the gig's page for more information. I usually look for gigs that are not automated; I like to pick manual social bookmarking submission gigs. What they'll do is create a new account, which helps keep things separated, and then they'll manually submit your site to over 200 social bookmarking sites. You'll also want to look for any gig that offers multiple title and multiple description options. The reason you want this feature is because by submitting multiple titles and multiple descriptions, it just makes your social bookmarking that much more effective.
Click the "Order Now" button to place an order. Select a quantity of one ( 1 ). You can upgrade if you want. I usually don't do this, though, because it just costs you more money. When you click "Order Now," after a few moments it's going to ask you for your information (what you want to social bookmark).
Filling Out Required Gig Information
We're going to start by social bookmarking our main domain name. In this example, my URL is www.banishskintags.com. Obviously that's not your website URL, so put your website URL in there instead. You'd be surprised how many people actually put someone else's website. Next you're going to provide the titles.
I like to use the product's keywords for the titles. The keywords I want to use are those that show up on the Google Keyword Planner when we did the initial market research like "skin tag removal," "skin tags treatment," "natural skin tag removal," and "skin tag removal at home." I'm going to include those keywords in the order form.
There's this thing called "spintax" that you can use to mark off your different keywords when you submit them with your order. Spintax simply uses curly braces, { and }, and a pipe, |, between each keyword. On English-language computer keyboards, the curly braces and pipe keys appear next to each other next to the "P" key. If you're using a non-English keyboard or a device without a full keyboard (such as a tablet), you may find the curly braces and pipes grouped with other symbols.
The format for submitting keywords with spintax is as follows:
{ keyword1 | keyword 2 | keyword 3 }
You simply put all of your keywords between the curly braces, and you use pipes between each keyword. If I wanted to use the keywords above, it would look something like this:
{ skin tag removal | skin tags treatment | natural skin tag removal | skin tag removal at home }
I also like to throw in the name of the product I'm reviewing. Additional keywords include the product name followed by the word "reviews" as well as the category of the product. For my website, the category would be "skin tags."
When your order is processed, the person doing the social bookmarking submissions will rotate through your keyword list.
For descriptions, you can use the same spintax. Descriptions are usually 15 to 30 words. Here are some example descriptions for the skin tag removal product:
"Are you trying to get rid of your skin tags once and for all? Then check out this new skin tag treatment blog which shows you exactly how."
"Having problems getting rid of your skin tags cleanly? Then go to this website to learn about a fool-proof skin tag removal treatment."
"Need a way to treat skin tags without leaving scars? Go to the website in this submission to learn exactly how."
The importance of this is that it makes your social bookmark submissions more unique which in turn makes this overall gig more powerful. It'll get you that much more search engine love.
Once complete, hit the "Send" button.
