2018 Update on Link Building

OK So link building has changed a little bit over the years. While link pyramids can still be effective, I recommend you go very light with them. Only pick gigs that create the links manually and do no more than 10-20 tier 1 links at any given time. Less is more. Do no more than 1 blast per video or blog post. When building links to your main affiliate blog, be even more cautious.

In addition, look for "PBN Links" or "Web 2.0 links" to supplement link pyramids if you can't find suitable gigs. Also, consider using konker.io instead of Fiverr for SEO link alternatives. Konker is a bit more expensive, but delivers higher tier SEO work in my opinion.

Link Pyramids

The purpose of this lesson is to help you understand some search engine optimization and to help you see the grand scheme of things. But in terms of chronological order, you shouldn't be utilizing these strategies just yet. I only want to teach them to you now.

I want to explain an advanced tactic called a link pyramid. After you social bookmark, this is the majority of the backlinking I do from that point on. You can't just throw social bookmarks on and call it a day. That will get you some traffic, but if you want to get those "page one" top rankings, you need to build links over time. Before fiverr existed, this was almost impossible to do on a mass scale. But now that you can use fiverr and just click a few buttons, you can do this easily month after month and really just spend 15-20 minutes a month taking care of an entire site.

The backlinking technique that I like to employ the most is building link pyramids. What that is, in these gigs, they will build a select number of properties like different pages on web 2.0 blogs, social sites, profiles, and .edu and .gov links, which are highly valuable. What they'll do is post an article on those sites, which link to your money sites, then they create additional backlinks to the properties that they setup. Then, as a third tier, they build more links to the pages they created for you. It's setting up multiple links.

All the link juice passes through these sites and to your money site. But most importantly, not only do you get traffic from these pages, but you get a lot of search engine ranking power. After I social bookmark it, I will wait about three weeks, and then I'll order one fiverr gig. You just need a link pyramid gig that gives you about 100 pages. Anything over that is overkill, and it might even hurt you.

Just like the social bookmarking gig, you will provide keyword titles and your url.

If I'm trying to rank my homepage, I'll just copy the entire list of keywords from the Google Keyword Planner and provide them to the gig owner. So this is a very powerful way to boost your search engine ranking.

Log into your fiverr account and type in "link pyramid."

.edu and government links are very powerful, and you want to drop them in once and a while.

This Is An Ongoing Process

About three weeks after your link pyramid gig, you will do it again, and you want to do this about once a month. After about six months you can tone it down a little bit.

In order for this to be cost effective, I will only post about three articles per niche site.

You will want to build link pyramids to all of your content, not just your homepage. The key is to keep the amount of content small, but you want it to be high quality.
